Review: Palm Trees and Polar Bears Bed and Breakfast

“Dream Big Dreams… Believe all things are possible.” That is the sign I first read when I walked into the Palm Trees and Polar Bears bed and breakfast in Port Rowan, Ontario. It’s quotations like these that have motivated my life’s work and the foundation for this very blog, and the moment I read these words, I knew I was at the right place and was in for a pleasant night’s sleep.

It’s a sign! Dreaming and Believing is sort of my thing!

Palm Trees and Polar Bears Bed and Breakfast

The decor throughout this newly renovated century home is all palm trees and polar bears mixed with lots of signs wishing you sweet dreams! A cozy home complete with a few sitting rooms and three bedrooms all beautifully decorated with the palm trees and polar bear theme. Of course our hosts Sharron and Rudy Kovats couldn’t be more lovely and welcoming.

Relax on the Porch

Located in Port Rowan Ontario just steps from the waterfront, the bed and breakfast was the perfect location for our Sunday morning kayak trip at Long Point with Baer Kayak and Fishing and also for my whirlwind 24 hour adventure discovering the wineries and food scene of the Norfolk county region.

My bedroom was the only one of the three bedrooms without an ensuite bathroom, which was not an issue as across the hall I had my very own bathroom. I chose this room for the large bed, which was very comfortable. The room also included a small table, some chairs, a TV and a fireplace and lots and lots of polar bear decorations throughout the room.

The bathroom across the hall was also stocked with locally made bathroom products, fluffy towels and of course a dancing hula polar bear.

Downstairs on the main level was an inviting sitting room with a couch another fireplace and a dining room table and chairs.

Sharron and Rudy made sure we had everything we could possibly need during our stay, including every type of coffee, tea or hot chocolate I could have possibly craved during my stay. Lots of granola bars and snacks, including cheese and crackers in a fridge stocked with drinks.

I spent an early morning in this downstairs sitting room with my laptop writing and I honestly felt like I was at home in my own living room except, that as I sipped coffee and typed furiously, I could smell Sharron’s breakfast cooking in the kitchen next door.

Homemade Breakfast

We were treated to a breakfast which included a personal soufflé, pancakes, yogurt, toast and more! Everything was absolutely delicious and there was more than I could ever eat.

I had a very short stay at the Palm Trees and Polar Bears Bed and Breakfast but it was such a pleasant one! I can’t wait to visit again on my next trip to the Port Rowan area! I already have a picture of myself with my laptop in the sitting room, with the fireplace going for a weekend writing retreat! Anyone want to join me?
