I’m going to start off this review talking about a bed. Yes, a bed! It wasn’t just any old bed, but one in which I lay down in and woke up in the same spot the next morning. Not in a bad I sunk into the middle of someone else’s mattress dent kind of way. I’m talking about a bed that just became part of my body and offered up the best sleep I’ve had during my travels. This fantastic bed was in my perfect room inside the Holman Grand Hotel, Charlottetown, PEI.
Holman Grand Hotel, Charlottetown, PEI
Located on Grafton Street across from the Confederation Arts Centre, the hotel sits steps magically from everything in downtown Charlottetown. The city is very walkable, but Holman has the added benefit of being attached to the Confederation Mall. On my first day in Charlottetown, it poured rain all afternoon. The mall is accessible from inside the front lobby of the hotel which meant I didn’t have to brave the rain to get a little walk in.

It’s a bit of a sigh of relief when I walk into a hotel room and see the modern decor and features. The Holman Grand’s room hits you the moment a small motion light turns on when you walk in the front door. Hardwood flooring lines the hall which leads into the room filled with these features:
- Luxurious pillow-top bed
- Desk with ergonomic chair
- Lounge Chair and side table
- Keurig coffee machine
- Refrigerator
- Bathrobe and Aveda Toiletries
It was the perfect luxury modern room, in a casual and unpretentious hotel. The staff was always smiling and super happy to chat, give directions and answer questions. For one night I felt right at home in Charlottetown, and I can’t wait to come back and visit with them again.

Holman Grand Hotel Amenities
In addition to the great bed and cosy rooms, the hotel also features an indoor pool, fitness room and its own restaurant. We had a lovely breakfast at the restaurant the morning we checked out.
