Located in the centre of the Seneca Lakes Wine Trail in the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York the Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel is a lovely hotel in a perfect location amongst all the sights in the area. I stayed at this hotel during a road trip through the Finger Lakes and loved how close everything we saw was to the hotel.

Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel NY
King Bed Harbor Room
The room was quite lovely. I had a beautiful view of the harbour from the window. There were lots of places to sit and relax, a big king bed and there was even a little makeup nook.
The suite’s bed was cozy, but I found the little pillows were too soft and small for the size of the bed.
Since I was in the region on a press trip, I loved that there was a little sofa to sit and lounge. I love writing notes and working on my computer when I’m on the road and being able to put my laptop on my lap and type away on a comfy chair or sofa while looking out at the lake was pretty memorable.
Great Hotel for Weddings and Business Meetings
For business travellers, there was also a small desk to work at in the room. The light on the desk had two plugs which were easily accessible for charging things, by the bed I had to reach behind the nightstand to access the outlets. It wasn’t too tricky, and there were plugs available in these outlets behind the nightstand as well.
The makeup nook was a bit dark for my liking, but it did have a lighted magnifying mirror. That said one thing I loved about this room was how many mirrors it had that were accessible and under lights. There was plenty of lighting in the bathroom, and the full-length mirror in the front entrance had light right above it.
There was no safe in the room. However, the hotel has safe deposit boxes available for guests, just ask at the front desk.
There were two robes in the room and lots of towels. The bathroom was spacious and had a large shower. Toiletries available in your room are a brand called Green Natura which was picked by the hotel for their commitment to reducing environmental footprint.

Pool
The hotel has a small pool and hot tub located on the ground floor. Access to the pool is right next to the registration desk.
Fitness Room
The fitness room was a small room, but it had some impressive cardio machines. It is open from 6:00 AM – 10:00 PM.
Business Center
There are three Macintosh computers available in a small room located in the hotel lobby. These are available 24 hours a day.
Dining at the Watkins Glen Harbour Hotel
Blue Pointe Grille
Located in the hotel lobby, the Blue Pointe Grille is a great place to grab a drink or for any meal. We had breakfast in the dining room which was served a la carte.
Restaurants in Watkins Glen NY
I also recommend walking through Watkins Glen for restaurant options. We had a fantastic dinner at Graft Cider and Wine Bar and lunch at the Crooked Rooster. There are lots of little pubs and eateries in this small town.
